Dress!

I bought my wedding dress yesterday.. off the clearance rack! WOOO! It's stunning.. I can't wait for Robert to see me in it :)
I got to talk to Nancy, his mother, on the phone last night for a bit. We get along so well.. it's really great to know that she's not a typical mother-in-law.. she's a great lady. Hopefully Robert's whole family will be able to be with us for Christmas. That would be amazing!

Wedding Planning..

So Robert and I have started the preliminary planning for our day :) We're 95% sure of our photographer, caterer, and decor. We're also considering having a band play live instead of using our iPods for music.. we'll see what the cost is. It's wonderful to have him helping me plan everything instead of me trying to do it all alone. Luckily, we're agreeing on mostly everything, so that's definitely a good thing!
I went and tried on dresses the day after Thanksgiving with Nancy and my mom in Thomasville. I got a really good idea of what I want my dress to look like.. I know now that it needs to be strapless, because that is what most flatters my figure. I'm gonna try to pay no more than $750 for my dress.

Engaged!

Robert and I got engaged on November 14th!! He did it at Pensacola Beach, by the ocean at midnight.. it was amazing. We've officially set the date for October 24th, 2009, and we'll be getting married at my grandmother's house here in Tallahassee. What a blessing to have a venue we don't have to pay for! Robert is amazing.. I'm convinced he's the man my mom has been praying for me to meet and marry. We are best friends, partners, teammates, etc. I can tell him anything and I know he won't judge me. It's the best feeling in the world to be with the one you want and have him love you and want you right back, regardless of your flaws. I'm so LUCKY!!

I have the BEST boyfriend! Seriously.. he just took me shopping, at Forever 21 nonetheless, and spent almost an hour in there with me picking out a few new work wardrobe pieces. What a beaut! I love him.

First Post!

Wow! It has been a while since I've blogged in any way, shape or form.. that sounds dirty.. haha.
I am a very happy girl. I just got a new job today! I've been working as a cook for the last year and a half at Fusion Cafe. It's been a great experience, but it's just time for me to move on. I'll be working at Victoria Grand as a leasing consultant, so I'm super excited about that :) It's crazy for me to step away from working in a restaurant, since I just finished my culinary degree at Keiser, but unfortunately, there's just NO money to be made in Tallahassee in the field. Maybe one day I'll get to return.
As for my personal life, I'm happier than I've ever been. I live with my amazing boyfriend Robert. We've been together since February 4th, and we couldn't be doing better. He's wonderful. He's the man I know my mom has been praying for me to be with since I was born. He's my best friend (except for you, Merg!).
